Porsche 911 body kit wide Prototype built by Loren Rickabaugh at Custom Auto Rebuilder

When Joll (the owner of GT Racing) approached me with the idea of developing a new  Porsche 911 body kit wide, I couldn’t resist. I’ve wanting to do something like this for a long time.
As you look at the photos you will see a lot of body filler. It is important to understand that none of these parts are meant to actually go on the finished car. What you are looking at are “Bucks”. Molds are made of the Bucks, and then the real body parts are made in the molds. This will allow GT Racing to reproduce this kit and offer it to their customers all over the world.
Then I can offer you the opportunity to not only have the GTR Wide body kit, but to have the person that built the prototype install your kit on your car.

And now the Porsche 911 body kit wide prototype is off to the mold shop. There molds will be made of all of the fenders, rear flairs , rocker panels, front rocker end caps, and rocker rear end caps.
After the molds are completed www.GT-Racing.com will offer fiberglass reproductions of this kit
Then I can offer you the opportunity to have your GTR Wide body kit installed by the same person that developed the original prototype. This can include having your car taken all the way through to show level paint.

This was an interesting project. The idea was to strap some ware north of 700HP in to a 40 ford, with no roll cage structure to strengthen the car, but still not have it twist itself into a pretzel the first time it launched off the line. And by the way see if you can make it go around a corner like a sports car.

As you can see this classic Olds has had an unfortunate encounter with a can opener. With this type of damage the sheet metal stretches a lot especially around the hole. Then when you weld the hole shut and hammer out the crease it stretches even more. This creates a condition known as an “oil can”. This is a good example of what can be accomplished with an old rusted out body.

It’s called a rotisserie restoration. The bronco is mounted on a rotisserie that I built for this purpose.
